A total of 2,037 international travellers visited Kiribati in Q2, 2023, 21% more than the same period in 2019. Pacific Islanders accounted for 29.5% of total visitor arrival into Kiribati this quarter whilst Australia made up 17.7% of international arrivals. The United States of America represented 14.5% of total visitor arrivals while China accounted for 7.5% travellers in this quarter. It must be noted though that China inbound in Q2, 2023 were for corporate/employment related. These arrival statistics represents 3 months of arrivals into Bonriki International Airport (Tarawa) and 2 months in Cassidy International Airport.
